Kevin Xu Attends President Obama’s “Welcome Home” Reception

On December 8, 2025 (local time), the Obama Foundation hosted a “Welcome Home” reception at the soon-to-open Obama Presidential Center, bringing together key supporters and partners. Kevin Xu, Chairman of the Board of MEBO Group and former Chair of the APEC Host Committee, attended the event by invitation.

During the reception, former U.S. President Barack Obama warmly greeted Kevin Xu with an embrace and friendly conversation, a moment that drew wide attention and reflected a relationship built on mutual trust and long-term collaboration beyond formal engagement.

Their connection dates back to 2013, when President Obama highlighted pharmaceutical-driven organ regeneration as a national research priority, a vision closely aligned with MEBO Group’s work in regenerative life science. Since then, Kevin Xu has actively supported the establishment of the Obama Foundation, contributing to the vision and positioning of the Presidential Center, and regularly participating in Foundation summits and global youth leadership forums.
