On August 13, following the conclusion of the California–Africa Climate and Economic Partnership (CACEP) events in Nairobi, MEBO Group and the California delegation continued to Abuja, Nigeria. The next day, the delegation met with Nigeria’s Ministry of Environment, the National Council on Climate Change (NCCC), and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to exchange views on green technology and the digital economy. MEBO Group Executive Committee representative Wu Yun participated throughout, actively exploring opportunities in healthcare and public welfare.

On August 14, the delegation first visited the Ministry of Environment and later the NCCC. Director General Omoteniye Majekodunmi welcomed the group, emphasizing Nigeria’s efforts to expand access to climate finance, accelerate renewable energy and digital infrastructure, support small and medium-sized green enterprises, and showcase Nigeria’s climate ambitions to global investors. She called the exchange an important step forward in Nigeria–California climate cooperation.

That afternoon, the delegation visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where Minister Yusuf Tuggar noted Nigeria’s young population, vibrant economy, and ambitious energy transition. He highlighted synergies with California in clean energy, smart agriculture, digital innovation, and cultural exchange. Both sides discussed building a Nigeria–California Climate Innovation Center to promote collaboration in mangrove restoration, renewable energy, and regenerative agriculture.

As one of MEBO Group’s most important overseas markets, Africa has been central since 1995, when its Moist Exposed Burn Ointment entered Kenya, Nigeria, Egypt, and other countries. With two decades of trusted application, MEBO’s participation in the CACEP exchanges lays a strong foundation for deeper healthcare cooperation across Africa.
