The recently published international medical reference Neonatal and Pediatric Wound Care, edited by leading experts from the European Wound Management Association (EWMA), includes a dedicated chapter on regenerative medical technology—marking its growing recognition within the global wound care community.

Co-edited by Professor Dimitri Beeckman, President of EWMA and professor at Sweden’s Örebro University and Belgium’s Ghent University, along with Professor Guido Ciprandi, head of plastic surgery at Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital in Italy, the book brings together the most advanced knowledge and clinical experience in treating wounds in newborns and children. It serves as a comprehensive clinical guide for medical professionals worldwide.

Notably, regenerative medical technology is featured as a dedicated chapter—signaling a significant endorsement from the global wound care community. Authored by Dr. Jiehui Li and Dr. Qianli Tang of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine, the chapter presents a thorough overview of the development, mechanisms, standardized clinical protocols, and real-world outcomes of this innovative technology.

Drawing on a wealth of clinical case studies, the authors illustrate the technology’s proven effectiveness in treating both acute wounds such as burns and scalds, and chronic, hard-to-heal wounds including diabetic foot ulcers and pressure injuries. The inclusion of regenerative technology in this publication confirms its value as a globally viable solution, offering new hope for pediatric patients worldwide.

With its strong track record of safety and efficacy, regenerative medical technology has already been adopted in clinical settings across dozens of countries. Its integration into this international medical volume underscores not only its scientific merit but also its growing role in shaping the future of wound care. This milestone represents a crucial step forward in its global academic and clinical dissemination—and opens the door to transformative advances in pediatric wound management.
